Fallout Shelter is a rare gem. It is a beautifully interesting free-to-play simulation game set in a post-apocalyptic world full of radiation. In a bit to survive, players are tasked with building their own underground vault and becoming the overseer of its inhabitants.
The game’s main goal is to keep dwellers happy by meeting their needs which mostly includes food, water and electricity. To progress, players need to increase the size of their vault by adding and upgrading new rooms and then placing rescued dwellers to manage and carry out various functions.

Albeit addictive, Fallout Shelter can be a very “challenging” game to play especially when you don’t have enough resources. Now let’s assume you can’t afford Mister Handy and probably short of money to buy lunch boxes, then you can easily edit Fallout Shelter’s save file to add tons of extra items in your vault.
This trick is undoubtedly the best and most reliable fallout shelter cheat I’ve seen so far. So if you are seriously in need of some quick Caps, Nuka Cola and/or Legendary dwellers, then here are the best Fallout Shelter save editor for Android and PC.
1. Pimp My Vault
We kick off with Pimp My Vault, a very handy tool that let’s you modify the resource values of your Fallout Shelter vault to your liking. The app upon its launch was available on Google Play Store but following a complaint filed by Bethesda Softworks, it got removed.
One thing you should know however is that Pimp My Vault doesn’t “house” any malicious code. Its only crime is that it took away reasons to complete in-app purchases in Fallout Shelter and equally violated Google’s Terms of Service. But aside from this, it is bad for business.
But don’t worry for there are a dozen of ways to get Pimp My Vault and this is all thanks to leaked APKs. So if you are looking to get free stuffs in Fallout Shelter, then you can painlessly grab Pimp My Vault from here and then read on to learn how to use it.
How to Use Pimp My Vault
Assuming you have installed the app, simply fire up Fallout Shelter and head over to your Vault list. In there, take note of the Vault you want to modify and then close the game.
Next up, open up Pimp My Vault and select the Vault you want to make partial changes to. Here, we will go with SLOT 1 since it’s Vault 189 in the screenshot above.
Wait until the Vault data loads and then you can start tinkering. Under Vault Resources, you can easily modify stuffs such as Stim Pack, Radaway, Quantum and more.
Then you can go further to add legendary/rare dwellers and even max out their stats. Once you are done making changes, simply press the Save icon at the top right corner of the screen and then exit the app.
Now go ahead and launch Fallout Shelter and select the Vault you just modified. That’s it, every single data you edited should appear without qualms.
2. Rakion99 Fallout Shelter Save Editor
Unlike Pimp My Vault, Rakion99 Fallout Shelter Save Editor is a web based app that alllows you to edit your Fallout Shelter save games in other to modify or add extra free stuffs. The site is user-friendly and works beautifully for editing save files.
But before we walk you through the steps on how to use it, it is safe to know where your Fallout Shelter save location is.
For Android users, head over to your SD card or Internal memory (depending on where the game obb is) and dive into /Android/data/com.bethsoft.falloutshelter/files/VaultX.sav/. X in this case can either be Vault 1/2/3.
For PC users, your Fallout Shelter save location can either be found in C:\Users\your.name\Documents\my games\Fallout Shelter or C:\Users\your.name\AppData\Local\FalloutShelter\
Now that it’s accessible to you, simply head over to rakion99 fallout shelter save editor and upload your save game. It should be in this format; Vault1.sav
Once uploaded, you’ll now be able to modify various stuffs to your liking. You can max all Dwellers stats, change the number of Lunch Boxes, Pet Carrier, Mr. Handies, Starter Pack, Caps and Nuka Cola Quantums.
You can even go further to choose and heal all legendary Dwellers, unlock all rooms, recipes and more. Once you’re done with the modifications, simply save it and then replace it with your old save file.
Are There Any Alternatives
Pimp My Vault is actually the only Fallout Shelter save editor we are using right now, but assuming it didn’t work for you, then there’s one cool alternative you can try. Its name is FalloutShelter Save Editor and it works too.
One thing about this app is that it brings more options compared to the ones we mentioned above. A list of all the stuffs it can edit are boldly written on its official download page and the best part is that it’s available on PC as well as on Android.
